I miss the right proportions when I cut paper with a pair of scissors. I color beyond the line guide and also do it with different strokes. More or less, my hand feels awkward just by holding a pencil. Obviously, that is me saying I’m no good when it comes to artwork with an awesome finish. Yes, that is a skill I’ve yet to learn well! 🙂 But despite the fact that artwork shiz ain’t my thing, I still care to do them once in a while.
At exactly 2 in the morning of May 13th, I woke the ‘artsy fartsy spirit’ up in me, got my colored pens and some unused papers in our file cabinet, and gave some effort doing these for Mother’s Day.
No, I did not opt to draw a lot. As you can see, words are just overflowing on colored papers. Sometimes, I feel that it’s an eyesore to even post the picture and tell you all that they are artworks. Heh. ^-^ But what’s important is the effort, lah! Teehee. So yea. I just gave more time thinking of what to write. But seriously speaking, the letters I’ve written for my mom and sisters came deep within my bosom. They contain words that came from the heart.:)
Inside my gifts are a new foundation make-up for mom and chocolates for my sister Raine. I came up with the following since those were the things I’ve observed they needed/wanted. Mom’s foundation before had the wrong shade to flatter her skin tone, so I bought her a new one. 🙂 My sister Raine really has a sweet tooth and that made me buy chocolates for her. My sister Tine, who is abroad, is yet to be a mother. She married her hubby last year and they have no baby yet. Nonetheless, I greeted her on Facebook saying ‘I know that you’ll become a great mom someday!’ 🙂
When I gave them their gifts, I felt happy. Despite the not so good, quite naive art, they still appreciated them and thanked me. Their thanks are more than enough. I felt like crying because of joy. I love my family so much.
On another note, my parents and I celebrated Mother’s Day at SM North Edsa and ate at “Tres”. Here are few pictures of what we ordered.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all moms! ♥
