On the 26th of May 2015, the Loyal Alliance of Medical Professionals (LAMP) , in which I am a member of, in coordination with CSR- FEU NRMF held the event Batang Handa: Sa Isip, Sa Salita, at Sa Gawa Year 3 at West Fairview Elementary School with our aim to share our blessings and knowledge on basic health education to kids.

I won’t deny the fact that I felt a mixture of elation and some sort of anxiety as we went through the preparation of this event.  You know those moments when you have a clear vision of what you would love to do in behalf of the kids, yet worried that things won’t be executed as planned? Nonetheless, we lifted it up to Him. Let go and Let God.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly with the help of  FEUNRMF Med Student Volunteers, WFES teachers, LAMP members and LAMP officers who were all ready to teach kids the proper health guidelines.

This event deserves a special place in my mind and heart because this is the first project I ever headed in LAMP. I had my previous involvement in outreach programs in my grade school and high school years, then somehow lay low during my college years. I’m happy that I’m able to step up with my orgmates in LAMP once again and do something that makes me feel fulfilled. 🙂

It was a fruitful moment for me and I believe it is too for the other volunteers.

This event made me realize that  we can achieve greatness as long as we put our heart into it. Simple things can really mean a lot to other people  And that things do unfold at their right time. We just have to keep the faith. 🙂

To greater heights of proactive service! 🙂

If you think your friends would like this too, I'd love you to share it! Thanks!♥
