If you think your friends would like this too, I'd love you to share it! Thanks!♥
If you’re reading this article, it’s probably because you’re looking for that last shred of hope to keep you going. It’s the end of the year, the Christmas songs have been playing on repeat now, and you suddenly realize that you’ve been staring that screen for half an hour, wondering what it would be like to be just all carefree after a productive day, without so much as pressing one key on your keyboard. So I will cut you some slack here, I know how hard it can be to try and stay focused at this time of year, let alone any other time of the year. Because if we’re honest, we make excuses all year round.
Now it’s the excuse of Christmas and New Year. Then it will be because you are adjusting to 2019; after that, you’ll be thinking over a summer break holiday that will be spent with family and friends… the list of reasons to slow down your productivity and give yourself a break will grow and grow. But I’m here to speed it up for you. These tips will make you more efficient to do your work! And you’ll see that the more productive you are at work, the more proactive you are going to be with your life! So carry on to find out more.
There’s an App for that!
There really is an app for pretty much everything out there, and I love that it can just help so much with your working life! The more time you spend relying on apps and software, the more productive you’re going to come without even realizing it. Most jobs really require arduous tasks. You spend your time searching through papers, reading emails, studying medical researches and books, and organizing everything but your own life. I, for one, get to be so busy in a day and the time it takes to go through document after document of medical PDFs can be so draining, and is probably half of the reason why we just switch off at the end of the day! And that leads to burn out which we want to prevent at all costs.
In these circumstances, you can use apps that will allow you to search multiple PDF documents, and gather the information you need quickly and efficiently. Considering going through multiple documents can potentially save hours, is this not the dream you’ve been looking for? The same goes for any of the other tasks that you feel demand too much of your time. All you have to do is research, and find something that will work for you!
What you do outside of work matters
As I always say, balance is key. Get a life out of work but still see to it that the time you spend in work is as productively relaxing as your time away from it. That being said, your lifestyle outside of work is really going to affect your life in work. If you find yourself staying up late all the time or finding yourself getting exhausted prior work, you’re going to be worn out before you know it.
So if you want to feel more alive and productive, consider doing everything you can to get those 8 hours of sleep a day.
Make a Bullet Point List of your day
This is one of the best ways to keep on track while getting some bursts of dopamine every time you finish a task. It’s quite simple, actually. Just bullet point your day! You can do this through your phone’s notes or in your tangible journals. This will give you a chance to see the tasks of the day and get an overview of how your day would look like. Doing your work also in priority basis allocates more energy for the tasks you have to really focus on initially, and do succeeding works in a while. And when you are done, you can tick it off your list and get that good old feeling brought about by some dopamine to finally end that task! If you can bullet point your day and set out what tasks need to be done by when, it can make it so easier for you to keep on track on a productive work!
I hope these simple yet effective tips help you DO MORE productive work along the way! Let me know your thoughts through the comments.
